My Story
Baked With Love
After being born in Puerto Rico, for as long as I can remember, I had a “bizcocho mojadito,'' also known as a very moist Puerto Rican cake for my birthdays. My grandmother had a neighbor who used to sell them and I remember visiting my grandmother being engulfed with the smell of cakes whenever she would bake them next door. I would beg my grandmother to ask her if she had any small cakes we could buy from her.
Years later, I moved to the US and there weren't many opportunities to enjoy this typical PuertoRican cake I love so dearly. During one visit to Puerto Rico with my family, my grandmother’s twin sister decided to share with me her recipe for her moist Puerto Rican cake and her Mantecaditos. When we returned from our vacation I started baking it for my family. Once I mastered it, I decided to start baking my kid’s birthday cakes and, little by little, people started ordering it for their activities. It became my hobby and passion. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I had to put my passion aside. Later on, I felt inspired and found myself again through baking. As a result, PR Sweets was born.
Everything I make, everything I bake, I do with much love. I might not know who will be enjoying my sweets, but from the start of the preparation to the completed masterpiece I am thinking of my customers and am sending countless blessings and positive vibes.
It is my wish that every sweet you taste from PR Sweets 787, puts a smile on your face. I hope it reminds you of your home away from home, wherever that may be. I plan to continue to bring different things that remind me of home to you all. After being a mother to my 3 beautiful kids, my second favorite thing to do is to bake. I appreciate all the support and for your time to get to know a little bit about me!
